District of Columbia Business Capital Program (DC BizCAP): 

The DC Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB) established and administers the DC BizCAP Program to provide capital to District small businesses and entrepreneurs through alternative commercial funding. Funded by the U.S. Treasury State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI), DC BizCAP achieves this through three capital provision programs: the Collateral Support Program, the Loan Participation Program, and the Innovation Finance Program. DC BizCAP also provides technical assistance and education through its Capital Readiness Program to support participants' financial success. 

Capital Provision Programs

• Collateral Support Program (CSP)
  CSP provides funds for deposit with a participating lender to cover a borrower’s collateral shortfall. 
• Loan Participation Program (LPP)
  LPP purchases a portion of loans or lends alongside participating lenders.
• Innovation Finance Program (IFP)
  IFP co-invests with a Venture Capital Fund or invests as a limited partner. 

Capital Readiness Program (CRP)

• Cohort-Based Training 
  A 12-week program specializing in Business Management, Sales & Procurement, and Financial Education.
• Small Business Academy 
  A schedule of seminars, webinars, and trainings on various financial topics.
