The Government of the District of Columbia, Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB) Insurance Products Division, Forms and Analysis Branch accepts all lines of Property/Casualty and Accident/Health form filings through the System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing known as SERFF (www.serff.com). All lines of Life/Annuities form filings can be submitted through SERFF or via The Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission (Compact) within SERFF.
SERFF was mandated on October 1, 2007 by DISB.
Forms and Rates are to be filed separately.
Before submitting SERFF filings, review required laws, bulletins, notices and regulations, and “Filing Rules” in SERFF.
Insurance Laws are in District of Columbia Code, Title 31, Insurance and Securities. Bulletins and notices are accessible by disb.dc.gov. Review other filing requirements listed in the D.C. Municipal Regulations, DCMR Title 26-A.
