Resident and nonresident producers who do not renew their licenses on or before the expiration date of the license will be charged a late fee of double the license fee beginning the 1st day after expiration. At the end of the 30 day period the license will lapse. The applicant must reapply for a license. If the license is applied for within 366 days of the expiration date on the lapsed license, the reinstatement process takes effect. At reinstatement, the applicant must pay a reinstatement fee of double the license fee and submit a notarized letter affirming that no DC business was conducted during the period of the lapsed license. License reinstatement may be processed online at www.nipr.com through the initial license process for resident or non resident licensing.
