Market Conduct focuses on the principal business practices of insurers by monitoring policyholder services, marketing and sales, and the distribution of insurance products to ensure compliance within the law.
Under DC Code §31-1403, the Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking retains the Authority to examine insurers licensed to transact business in the District of Columbia to ensure compliance.
