Elder Housing Resource Forum

The Bowser Administration, together with the Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB) and Councilmember Brianne K. Nadeau will hold its third Elder Housing Resource Forum on September 25 at the Bernice Fonteneau Senior Wellness Center in Ward 1. The purpose of the forum is to provide District elders, their families, friends and community stakeholders with vital information and access to government and non-profit housing resources.

The forum will provide presentations by local government and nonprofit organizations engaged in housing related services. The event will also create a platform for government and nonprofit service providers to hear community concerns and identify partnership opportunities. Topics specific to seniors will include foreclosure mediation, legal assistance, property tax assistance, property rehabilitation and tenant advocacy.
