Black History Month Event: DISB Hosts Town Hall Meeting

DISB joins federal government agencies in Southeast.

In continuing its focus on consumers and protecting their financial interests, the DC Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB) will host its first of many community-based town hall meetings with guest panelists from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Federal Reserve Bank in Ward 8. DISB is the District government agency responsible for regulating the financial-services industry here, and for protecting its residents from financial fraud and abuse. WHAT: The DC DISB Town Hall Meeting is an educational forum for city residents that will bring them face-to-face with local and federal financial regulators.
