The District of Columbia’s Foreclosure Mediation Program was created to directly address the foreclosure crisis in the District of Columbia. The program provides homeowners and lenders with an opportunity to discuss alternatives to foreclosure. Saving D.C. Homes from Foreclosure Amendment Act of 2010 (D.C. Law 18-314; 57 DCR 12404).
