The new HealthyBlue products consist of a wellness program component designed to reward members for positive healthy behaviors. The core reward for the wellness program for these products is designed as a credit towards the Member’s benefit period deductible, but will also allow an account to choose to offer its employees additional methods in which to take the wellness credit. In addition to the benefit period deductible reduction, the account will have the option to allow the employee to choose to take the wellness credit as a deposit to the Member’s HSA account or as a gift card.
